NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed bids will be received on Friday, April 6, 2018, by The Sea Gate Association, at 3700 Surf Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11224 until 2:00 p. m, and The Association shall, at that time and place, publicly open bids and read them aloud.
Bid documents may be examined free of charge at The Sea Gate Association office located at 3700 Surf Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11224. A copy of the bid documents may be obtained in person or by mail from the Sea Gate Association upon payment of $49.00 per set and any associated shipping and handling costs. Checks are to made payable to The Sea Gate Association. The Association’s telephone number is (718) 449-4700.
Each bid shall be either hand delivered by the bidder or his agent, or such bid shall be sent by U. S. Postal Service registered or certified mail with a return receipt requested. Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified check, bank check, or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid.

No bid received after the scheduled time for opening will be considered. Failure of the U. S. Postal Service to deliver the bids timely shall not be considered due cause for the scheduled time of the bid opening to be extended.
Project Name: Community Streetscape Enhancements
Project Description: The Sea Gate Association is seeking to improve the community by planting street trees, new landscape along Surf Avenue near the main entrance, installation of an accessible walkway from Beach 49th and Beach 50th Streets to the Lindy Park Playground and new pavement and safety surfacing at Surf Avenue (Dave Sevush) Playground for which landscape architectural and engineering design has been completed.
This project is being financed with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (“CDBG-DR”) funds administered by the NYS Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery (“GOSR”). Attention of bidders is particularly called to Section 3 requirements, M/WBE goals, Federal labor standards, Federal and State prevailing wage rates, online reporting requirements using Elation System, Inc. and other requirements included in the GOSR Supplementary Conditions for Contracts.
