What: “Help for Homeowners Event in Coney Island” When/Where: Wednesday, November 14th from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Coney Island YMCA Free seminar from NHS Brooklyn to learn about FloodHelpNY, a program for homeowners with properties along Brooklyn's coastal neighborhoods that provides over $800 worth of resources at no cost, including a free Elevation Certificate to control the cost of flood insurance and free back flow valves.

On Thursday, November 22nd, the Alliance for Coney Island other local businesses and Councilman Treyger will host the Annual Community Thanksgiving Feast at the Coney Island Gospel Assembly. Last year, the feast helped over 1,000 guests enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal, including homeless men, women and children, low income families, homebound residents and members of the community.
